Tongue Teasers!

This podcast was very fun to do because we laughed so much during the making. Our Podcast is called Tongue Teasers and the slogan is "Well tease it out of you." My partner in this was Enrique Govea. Our first show consists of its introduction which introduces our names and the shows. Our second show named Personality 101 asks specific questions to people about their aspirations, their main adjective and what are their pet peeves. Our second show is about technology "How Tech are you." Our third show is about movies "To see or not to see" this one asks about your favorite movie and what prize would you give instead of an Oscar. Our fourth show is Urbe and You and the life that you have in Urbe. Last but not least our last show is about graphic designing and what do you do in your everyday life to improve your skills as a designer. I hope you enjoy our podcasts because they are very funny!

Difference between College article and URBE

There are many similarities between the article and the reality here in URBE. You have to take responsibility for your own learning because the teachers aren’t going to be behind you. Another similarity is that you have other pressures and other decisions that have to be made by yourself. Every decision is individual and will affect you forever so it’s definitely when you start growing up. A difference between the article and URBE is that most people here live either with their parents or have lived in Maracaibo for all their lives. When you enter university or college it is definately a step upward in your life.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Personally, I find beauty in everything that surrounds me. I find beauty in the subjects I study, in the people I love and in the daily "challenges" that come my way. Beauty isn´t just a pretty face or a good body it is more than skin-deep. A nice person, a smile, an act of kindness and unconditional love is beautiful. To describe beauty is like to describe love, it is ambiguous and intangible.
The downside of preconceptions of beauty are very dangerous because they harm vulnerable people. That is why mental illnesses like anorexia, bulimia and extreme low self-esteem harm and even kill some people. Nobody is to blame for this except society and everyday pressures. There are some preconceived notions put inside a child's head that are irreverseable and haunt them until adulthood. However, there are ways to increase low self-esteem and self-acceptance; friends, therapists and family are incredible resources.
Invest in your spirit and soul don't be afraid to express yourself and help other people. I am a firm believer in and "what goes around comes around" and personally I've had very good experiences with it and I recommend it to everybody.
